About the Community Oriented
Policing Division's
Beach Patrol:
The Beach Unit
consists of six officers permanently assigned to the Beach and
Broadwalk area. They work closely with
business owners and residents
in the area in order to address the concerns of the community. The
officers perform their duties on bicycle, All Terrain Vehicles, a
unique electric vehicle, as well as the traditional patrol vehicle
when necessary.
The Broadwalk is a paved, asphalt surface used by pedestrians,
bicyclists, and rollerbladers and enjoyed by millions of locals and
tourists annually. The Broadwalk Officers strive to create a safe
environment for residents, merchants, and tourists alike.
Below are some of the most commonly misunderstood beach ordinances.
These ordinances have been established in order to preserve and
enhance the cleanliness & beauty of the Hollywood Beach & Broadwalk
area.
