Special Events is under the Special Operations Section, managed by Lt. Haberland

The Special Operations/Events Unit is responsible for the coordination of all Law Enforcement services within the Hollywood Police Department and with outside vendors, customers, citizen promoters and other City Departments. It is the responsibility of the Special Operations/Events Commanding Officer to:

• Coordinate requests for Law Enforcement services between the City Special Events Committee and the Hollywood Police Department.  Coordinating the deployment of all support equipment required at the event.

•  Process applications for special parking requests.

• Process applications for parades.

• Process applications for demonstrations

• Process applications for assemblies.

• Provide police services for commercial, television and movie productions.
