Crime Suppression Unit Statistics
Statistics from the Hollywood Police Department's
Street Level Narcotics and Prostitution Squads.
The Hollywood Police Department posts crime statistics to this website on a
monthly basis. The statistics are broken down into weekly increments,
identifying eleven (11) general categories of crime for each of the
neighborhoods within the City of Hollywood. For accuracy, and due to the
method by which the computerized records management system acquires the data,
some of the neighborhoods must be combined (these areas are indicated on the
statistics pages).
The Hollywood Police Department takes steps to ensure the accuracy of the information,
however it is possible for entry errors to occur. For example,
an Auto Theft may be reported to Police, only to later be determined to have
actually been a lawful repossession of the vehicle. Situations such as
this represent a small margin of error within any crime statistics. The information supplied should be used as a guide only.
If
you are looking for crime information for a particular neighborhood, a
local records search can be conducted by our
Records Section for any area
of the city; there is a small fee for this service. Contact the
Records Section at 954-967-4480 for more information.
